Correspondence from Karl Germer to John Symonds
21 March 1950.
Dear Mr. Symonds,
I'm writing to ask you to let me have a clear and definite undertaking about the shipment of the remainder of Crowley's material. I will tell you frankly that I am not willing to tax my patience any longer.
If after two and a half years which you have almost had this material you have not succeeded or had the time to extract the data required for writing your book, you could as well claim that you need it for another ten years. This won't do. I insist that all the remaining stuff be shipped to my New York address not later than April 30th of this year. I am really getting to the point where you begin to make me angry. You have caused me incalculable harm and damage with your delaying method.
Very truly yours,
Karl Germer
Since June 3 — 1949 — you have not thought it worth your while to give me one word on your progress!
