Correspondence from Karl Germer to Marcelo Motta
[EXTRACT]
[29 April 1953]
The danger for those who possess [the extremely passive side of genius] is that they are liable to be mentally disturbed and upset, because they perceive too much and are constantly hurt by coarser nature [ . . . ] Now yours is a sensitive soul, and you should go about doing the type of mental discipline—I would add that all these people, men or women, who are so constituted suffer much anguish; the sooner they recognize the root of the trouble, the sooner they begin to do practices, the quicker they obtain the necessary balance and insight.
