Correspondence from Gerald Yorke to P.R. Stephensen

[EXTRACT]

[24 December 1953]

A.C. always maintained that Thynne [Major Robert Thynne] diverted the little capital that was in fact put up into his own pocket. But this was not so . . . he was scrupulously honest when with Mandrake [Mandrake Press]. He died of a heart attack the year we went bust. This was purely owing to lack of working capital.

John Symonds did not do such a bad job considering that he knows and still knows nothing of A.C.'s magic, etc.

Germer [Karl Germer] carries on as A.C.'s heir. Germer has inherited all A.C.'s copyrights, etc., so you will need to get his permission.
