Mr. Philip Kaplan 47-19 39th Avenue Long Island City 4, N.Y.
March 23, 1956.
Dear Mr. Kaplan:
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I expected to hear from you as Mr. Yorke [Gerald Yorke] had written and sent me copies of the photostat letters you had in your possession.
He mentions that you are a friend of Samuel Jacobs. I have in vain tried to trace him. When I came to New York from Tunis in 1926 I had an interview with him, and there was something about a copy of Konx Om Pax, but that is about all I remember now—too much has happened. I wanted to get in touch with him again after I came again to this country in 1941 (from a number of Concentration Camps), but could not find his address.
Unfortunately, I am in the midst of preparations to move to California. Which would be the best way to meet you in New York and, through you, with Mr. Jacobs? Please make it possible before I leave.
Love is the law, love under will.
Incidentally, your letter was dated Jan. 18 1956, but mailed in March.
Very truly yours
Karl Germer
