Dear Jacobs,

Nice to hear from you again. Alas, I am not 'Honourable Gerald Yorke'. I'm descended from the youngest son of Lord Chancellor Hardwicke and so am a plain Esquire merely entitled to a coat of arms which I do not use.

Do send me a specimen of your universal alphabet, or has it not yet been deciphered.

Afraid you have not turned up any of A.C.'s letters to you yet.

Yours etc.

Gerald Yorke.
