Dear Kaplan.

 

It was indeed a pleasure to meet you both. So sorry that you did not make a tour in this part of the world and so seen us again down here.

     

I bought the Bertram Rota [Bookseller] item, in spite of the price. The two quarto pages were one of A.C.'s 'Sick Man's Fancies', which had not survived in typescript and for which I have been looking for some years now. The letter which is quite a nice one was written to Gwendolen Otter.
