Correspondence from Robert Lund to Philip Kaplan
8503 Hartwell Street, Detroit 28, Michigan
August 7, 1959
Dear Phil:
Thanks for your letter. I surmised that you were on vacation when I did not hear from you right away.
Acting on your suggestion, I will fix Friday, August 21st as the final date for bids.
I expect you will be bidding against only one party, as I have already heard from the University. They have entered what I consider a fair bid and, while they did not violate any of the conditions I laid down, they ring in so many whereas, howtofores and sundry qualifications that I am of a mind to throw the offer away.
Regards,
Robert Lund
P.S. A dentist in Baltimore, Al Loewenson, wrote me about Crowley and I suggested he get in touch with you. Perhaps you can help him if he writes to you.
