Sunday. Woke at 5.30 a.m. Got up, washed and shaved. Washed my towel. Read Mary Butts' novel Ashe of Rings. Finished reading at noon. Received from the Beast, my Holy Guru—

3 to 5 pm. Read though this Ritual, and now determine to carry out the Great Work therein contained. I will think it over tonight, and follow out some plan of work for each day. Tried to bind mind and body. Explored tangle of being a separate being. This was not a success, as I could not get away from the subconscious self, so tried to be conscious in the sub-conscious self as a separate being. I think this is best. Did this from 6 to 7.
