Frank Bennett Diary Entry Tuesday, 6 September 1921
Tuesday. Woke at 5. Got up at 5.30 feeling the strange happiness, but will keep silent and quiet. Will study the Invocation to the Bornless One all day. 6 to 7 am spent in returning thanks and praise to my Holy Guardian Angel. After morning Pentagram studied 'Liber Samekh' until 12 noon, reading it through very carefully. After dinner from 2 to 3, read The Book of the Law. 4 to 5, went through 'Liber Samekh.' 5 to 6. 6 to 6.30, prepared tent for the night. 6.30 to 7, Pranayama. 7 to 8, Pentagram. 8.30 to 9.30, Meditation on Tangle of having separate qualities. I found many separate qualities, all the senses, passions, desires—conscious and subconscious—but found that only the subconscious self was desirable.
