Friday. Got up at 6.30, washed, shaved, got ready for breakfast, went down to Umbilicus, had a good breakfast, and feeling fairly well. Back at 9.30, cleaned up tent, had a good bath myself, and washed my shirt. This took me till 10. Read Cabbala from 10 to 11. 11 to 1, went through 'Liber Samekh' in full, and meditation on Ritual of 'Liber Samekh;' found myself thinking in the subconscious mind of a continuation of the story which I had already written. When I found this out, I stopped—I was now halfway through the story. But I could not go on at all; it was impossible to continue. I knew what I had done, but could not go on. The story had to stop. I could not proceed any further. 4 to 5, read The Book of the Law. 5, tea until 6. Got ready for Pentagram at 7 pm. Had a very good ceremony; there were only Jane [Jane Wolfe] and I taking part. Back to tent at 8.45, in bed at 9 pm.
