Frank Bennett Diary Entry Friday, 7 October 1921
Friday. Got up at 6.45 am. Dressed, washed, and shaved. Got breakfast for A.C., Leah [Leah Hirsig], and myself. Pentagram at 9. Afterwards I read Nietzsche until 11. After which I sat in meditation. 11 to 12, Meditation on the absoluteness of the separate self, in which I saw myself at one with the Real Self, creating Life, Love, Liberty, and Light in a true sense. I saw all things as emanating from, and living in this real self. It is only the lower mind that stops all true Light, Love, Liberty, and Life. Oh, to live in this True Life! It is wonderful! I cannot describe it, but must continue. Pentagram at 6.30, myself in the East.[1]
1—Crowley's marginal comment; 'Good.'
