Frank Bennett Diary Entry Thursday, 20 October 1921
Thursday. Got up at 6.30 am. Washed, dressed, and finished record of experience during night. Got breakfast ready for A.C., Leah [Leah Hirsig], and myself. Finished work in the house, and started on a long walk for the day. Was very impressed by the experience of the previous night, so that I almost felt in a state of ecstasy, and could not help thinking of it. The result was 8 cuts. But by noon I had overcome this. I must have walked 25 miles, or possibly more, and I do not feel tired—but not half so tired as I did walking round the big rock. This is strange, for I walked as I used to twenty years ago, without fatigue. The only thing that did trouble me was a thin pair of boots; these made my feet sore, but otherwise I could do another 25 miles.
