Astral journey on another picture. Confused at first: A wood path circled in with boughs, and suggestion of ivy creeping, a white sky-suggesting a strong sun through a white fog. Pattern of branches twined constantly into a black, equilateral triangle. Came out on the top of a cliff, a white sea like liquid silver, and the silver white fog and brightness. A [illegible] at the foot of the cliff. (Suggestion at first of the violet sea and conical lack of previous journey). Got confused, went back to the path. More branches, black triangle. Found myself at the end of the old straight [illegible] of torch-shaped trees with the white wood I had seen before in the ‘wood of Hades’. At the end was a stone altar, and a heel-to on the altar carrying the Sun in the house.

Came up—there was just the altar, and the back of it was exactly on the edge of a black precipice—about 30 feet across. On the other side, the sun was in the sky over glittering cornfields. Tried to cross the gulch, difficult, fought my way across backwards, and saw that the black precipice had filled in to a rather deep rock pool, with water [illegible] an unseen source lapping against it, under the back of the altar. (I had done a casual journey with the [illegible] insight before) and had seen the same thing, only lapis-blue. This time the water was dark, struck with lapis.

Tired.

Came back.
