Marjorie Cameron Diary Entry Saturday, 21 October 1961
[EXTRACT]
She who was woman rising from the sea in the hour when the warrior's heart was thrown upon the wave. Invoked from the matrix of the world she grew in heavy sorrow from the vanquished hero's breast and the seed of the warrior father rooted in her flesh . . . [C]all thy sire from beyond the stars to rise and slay the mother whose nourishment has fermented bitter wine. We shall cast her back into that primordial sea from whence she rose henceforth to find the spectral memory of her in the wind blowing after us in fields of stars.
