Revised climbing paper with O.E. [Oscar Eckenstein]. Got a badly-made [chlapht?] from Frasers' and a threatening letter from Laura. Bar the ruby ring, I could checkmate the Princes for the moment by giving away—O Lord, who knowest me, lead me in thy ways. Give me wisdom, that I may do Thy Will without let or hindrance from anysoever Cause.
