Seeing Allan [Allan Bennett], he wishes me to explore my Kamma.
I remember that my old 2nd Jhana came after the Tinc[ure] Opii racket. Will try this on my way to Mandalay.
Left Rangoon by [steamship] 'Java'. Noon.
12.35. Peh [opium] 2 gr.
12.45. 1/2 [opium] in cigarette. Pupils much contracted 12.40 owing to glare I suppose.

Illusion that I was a very old man. Several times nearly sick on moving suddenly. Light trying to eyes.
8. P.M. Took some coffee. God is necessarily the Yellow Dog of his own Universe; for a chain is no stronger than its weakest link.
8.30. Eat some curry.
8.35. Moved hastily and was violently painlessly sick. Till 12.30 uneasy dreamy sleep. I pass from great wakefulness and acuteness to complete sleep and back again quite suddenly without shock.
Deep sleep 10 - 12 A.M. after which I feel pretty normal. Not knowing how long drug poisons after taking, stopped; esp[ecially] as Rose [Rose Kelly] had fever.
[Another note details:] taking 30 gr. in 6 hours. "Next time try to take in 3 hours.
