Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

M. [Mahatma Agayama] answers: Persevere through all things; they will defeat you; get up and fight again.

He gives me a new name written in a white stone:

[Sanskrit].

Vidistrananda [?]—exceptional bliss.

[On page facing entries for Monday and Tuesday:]

Questions to ask Agayama.

Is it better to go on till one gets so sick of it one has a bust, or to avoid impulse by anticipation?

What is it when one forgets everything, who one is, what one is doing, etc. (A good sign.)

What are the signs of good progress? (Interest in work itself.)

Give me hathayoga practice to make body strong. (The practice itself helps.)

What is the cause of that extreme distaste for meditation which catches one and is almost insuperable? (It seems to be a reflection in will of the thought-wandering. N.B.: If in life one's thoughts wandered as it does in meditating, one would be practically an idiot.)
