Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Rex de Arte Regia Sunday, 30 May 1915
Opus[1] LVIII
2.3 a.m. Weather fairly warm, not very. Dim distant hidden gaslights.
Ξενος έν τω π. βασιλως.[2]
Object: Wisdom.
Elixir rather watery, and the enthusiasm of the Priest[3] outran his energy. The will of the Priestess [Crowley] was well concentrated, though interfered with (as in most such operations) by anxiety.
Result: I believe that the dinner of 10 June begins the active part of my initiation to the Grade of Magus of A∴A∴
29 Jan. 1916. True.
1—[Crowley performs a magical sexual operation.] 2—['A stranger in the fundament of the King.]
