Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Monday, 28 June 1920

5.25 p.m. to 5.15 a.m. Against all principles, and in breach of two promises, I have sat up all night in the snows [cocaine], writing a poem to Leah [Leah Hirsig].

One long poem ["Leah Sublime"]—an occasional publishable line thrown in when I weakened.

7.00 a.m. I think I'll collect all my filth in one poem and mark it Leah in plain figures.

10.00 a.m. I think I did.
