Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Sunday, 24 July 1921
12.25 A.M. I now consider the Yi—advised letter to Sullivan.
1.7 A.M. I dictated it to Leah [Leah Hirsig]
What attitude shall we take to Genesthai [C. F. Russell] when he returns? [I Ching Hexagram] Earth of K[teis] Po. Falling, etc. Let him down gently, and lead him by kindly persuasion to a proper view of his position.
Symbol for his future in the A∴A∴ [I Ching Hexagram] Air of P[hallus] IX Hsiao Khu. Small Restraint. Very good—he should get back to his true Way, and be immensely useful to bring others along.
10.50 A.M. What shall we about Genesthai under existing conditions? [I Ching Hexagram] XLVIII Zing. Application of the feminine influence. Great are the 169 Adorations when they are done right, as they were tonight.
