6.30 P.M. Letter from Aimée [Aimée Gouraud]. She's scared of going to N[ew] Y[ork].

8.50 Wrote 12 pp.; asked Alsotrael [Leah Hirsig] to make sure she is wholly willing to let me marry Aimée and if so to work a IX° for that purpose.
Aimée writes—once again—of Mme. Erna Debenham, Hotel des Champs Elysees, 5 rue Balzac, Paris.
