Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Friday, 7 October 1921
1.25 P.M. I couldn't sleep at first—and made my story "come full circle". I wrote out the end this A.M. and changed the title to AS YOU WERE! As it now stands A and B pretend to be C and D and to think that E and F are G and H, while E and F pretend to be G and H and to know perfectly well that A is A,B B,C C,and D D.
6.50 P.M. I am very weak and ill; I don't know how long Brother Body will hold out. It doesn't matter.
8.15 P.M. I had an intuition tonight that Saturday will bring good news.
