Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Saturday, 6 May 1922
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I am at 31 Wellington Square Chelsea, 4 days after crossing from France. I have just seen Gerald Kelly, annoyed and bewildered because Lion's daughters do not grow wool! Lola Zaza is unmanageable. She despises everybody, thinks she is a genius, is stupid, inaccurate, plain, ill-tempered etc etc. God! but it's good to be a Lion! For the first time in my life I taste the true pleasures of immortality.
But the sheep are many, and their pressure may suffocate Lion cubs: I must therefore ask for a message from Thelema as to what course of action to adopt in order to free her. VII.4.51. "They draw their shining God unto the land in nets" etc. Interpreted by the Yi as follows: P of water [I Ching Hexagram] X Li. The Lion's Way! Thwan: Fear nought: go ahead!
[Line] 1. Advance in the customary manner. [Line] 2. Take the easiest way—a quiet and solitary man. [Line] 3. Avoid bluffing. [Line] 4. Beware of rash actions. [Line] 5. Be resolute. [Line] 6. Consider the question as a whole, and divine the future therefrom.
