Abbey of Thelema Cephaloedium Sicilia.

I have been very ill since early in January, and am far from well in many ways, though apparently convalescent. I have been keeping a record of symptoms and treatment, and propose to continue this while necessary—or possible!

12.10 A.M. I have been trying to cut down [Heroin] for some days, with the result of increasing it—or so it seems. I will ask the Yi King how to act.

(1) [Heroin]. 6.45 A very bad motion (due I hope to [Cocaine] this A.M.

Lay all day in the sun, dozing more or less; too ill to record even [Heroin]. But probably 3 [doses] in A.M. 3 [doses] in P.M.

Temp 99°3 swollen jawbone—which started yesterday. Seems if anything worse 4Q 1QAS Later.

Poached eggs, toast, chocolate.

Enema: fairly satisfactory. Pains afterwards; but they passed off in (11) a few minutes. About 4 small [Heroin doses] this evening: I feel as if I had thus got back to the state of equilibrium which existed before the [Cocaine] came to disturb it. This should convince me once and for all that [Cocaine] is useless as against [Heroin].

Temp 99°2 4Q 1QAS.
