.0 Woke, needing [Heroin] badly; wrong in all sorts of ways. (1) [Heroin].

.20. Bad all round—cold etc. Slept at 5: woke at 7 from bad dreams to big soft motion [bowel movement] (2)—thanks to 2 gr Calomel last night. Much need of [Heroin]. Bad all round. [Heroin].

.50 (3) (4) (5) Bad all day: can't say why: lack of [Cocaine] perhaps.

.20 Visit from Corriere [?] de la Sera and Gioncale di Sicilia representative.

.0. [Heroin] (7) in consequence of being choked by a spasm of coughing started by indignation at an evil Daemon obsessing Alostrael [Leah Hirsig] to utter a Cassandra-croak [?] to the effect the the friendly journalist of this afternoon was the Harbringer of WOE UNUTTERABLE.

The truth is that I have myself been nervous and impatient all day: feeling the [Heroin] question as an obsession, cursing because O.P.V. [Norman Mudd] is not here yet, also because he will be here too soon for me to take a holiday———!!!

.12 [Heroin] (8) to worship Hadit (I am revising my translation and comment on the Golden Verses of Pythagoras) and to insure against a repetition of this morning's disturbances.
