1.30 A.M. (after a long night's rest). The principal advantage of a "free union" is that one has a legally independent individual who may understand one perfectly. Marriage extinguishes the woman—or, more frequently, the man. On the tongues of judges is constantly "Contempt of court"—they know well the feeling they arouse in honest men.
