Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Sunday, 21 September 1924

Solis.

12.30 A.M. (11.30 P.M. Saturday.) The weather, wretched all summer, has been quite decent for the last 4 or 5 days. To-day it was a little cloudy and a few drops of rain fell—one of numerous incidents calculated to stop my getting out of Paris with Astrid [Dorothy Olsen] (We are at the Hotel du Grand Coude Chantilly).

Since the Op[eratio]n of the Eq[uino]x a very violent gale has sprung up. It is howling like the Atlantic in mid-winter; glass is being smashed etc etc.

Sol.

1.0 A.M. (12.) The storm has abated as suddenly as it started—not a breath of wind now stirring.
