Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Wednesday/Thursday, 5 / 6 May 1926

My first all-night with Marcell. 4me Chambrč.

The limbs that writhed in the distress

of thirst of madness, leapt from chasm

To chasm of our wickedness

Are rigid in the last orgasm

of spasm.

The wanton mouth that was so wise

Bubble and foams with lust as she

Abandons all her life to me

In ecstasy that sobs and sighs

and dies.

Our love's intolerable vigour

Invokes death's terrible caress,

The relaxation of the rigour

That prove its infamous duress

Success.

And, born of that Satanic strife,

The Holy Spirit quickening

Lets loose his sacramental spring

The dews of everlasting life—

My wife!
