Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Tuesday, 12 July 1927
July 12 [1927]
Should I do well to take house in Fontainebleau 195 rue St Merry?
[I Ching Hexagram] XXXIV Ta Kwang.
If I do, I'll get in one big Mess!—Well, it is not all bad, but needs careful calculation and very economical management.
Shall I do well to take the apartment occupied by Paterson at 6 rue de la Mission Marchand?
[I Ching Hexagram] XXXIII Thun.
Successful progress.
[Line] 1. Be very careful at the outset. Don't try to start business in a hurry. [Line] 2. Affirm true Will. Stick to guns. [Line] 3. Stress. Deal with [? builders] as with concubine or servant. [Line] 4. Retire despite temptation. [Line] 5. Retire admirably. [Line] 6. Retire nobly.
On the whole, yes.
P.S. And my retirement was executed very beautifully indeed!
