Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Monday, 25 August 1930
Brit. Mus. Discovered Sarcophagus of Ank-f-n-Khonsu! ! !.
London is hellish. Every one as dead as when I left. M E 2 [Montgomery Evans] back from Paris, feeling worse. Thynne [Major Robert Thynne] evidently avoiding me.
Yorke [Gerald Yorke] & Hoggs still away. Inky [P.R. Stephensen] hysterical, vomiting accusations against Thynne and McAllan. Watson Turner very glum, stern, and embarrassed. Badcock pale but smiling. Foreman desperate, hating it all, but pursuing. Gorman the only cheerful voice I've heard so far.
Inclined to push for Portugal on 29th.
