Aleister Crowley Diary Entry

Wednesday, 27 August 1930

14[1] The GW [Great Work]

Yorke [Gerald Yorke] and Thynne [Major Robert Thynne] (He is very distressed, and acting all wrong. Obsessed about "Capital")

Missed Aumont [Gerard Aumont].

Some people I admire wholeheartedly. It might have occurred to me to stick needles into people all over and rub in an irritating oil to produce pus. But I should never have thought of calling the process a "Nature-Cure!"

Decided to go to London.

1—The symbol “ ” indicates sexual magical operations, which Crowley differentiates from normal sexual intercourse. The progressive numbering indicates the number of times the operation has been conducted with a particular partner.
