[St. George’s Day.]

St. George indeed! A strenuous day.

Painted from 6 a.m.

Louise [Louise Aschaetzsch] to dinner; took a new [MA?] Fore and middle fingers of both hands in appropriate places: tongue as usual. [yod] as usual. I have a fear-complex about her. She wants to buy a picture!!!

P.S. She has noble impulses; but mean, selfish, cowardly considerations always stifle them. Soon she will be a shapeless stupid lump of meat with a hole in it: no more.
