S.W. [Scarlet Woman—Bertha Busch] woke with the “Nameless Fear” again. Her breasts are certainly bigger, and they ache.
But—all day we both felt unaccountably nervous, and at night there were signs of blood upon the lintel. Then she began to have bad pain, and was awake all night. She was rottenly brave about it, and didn’t let me know.
