Lunch with Pailthorpe [Grace Pailthorpe].
Left letter for Sofio (?).
Beat Winter [in chess] 4 games right off then got tired and lost 2 in 3. Still 4 1/2 in 7 is pretty good! (The two losses were stunts, anyhow—Q. gambit accepted etc.)
