4 hours wait in Law courts—then an hour’s wrangle before [Mr. Justice] de Parq. He took 15 min. over his judgement[1]—considering that he had by law to decide against us, he made it damned hot for O’Connor.

1—Mr. Justice du Parq in the Vacation Court refused an application for an injunction to restrain the further publication of Nina Hamnett's book "Laughing Torso."  Crowley had complained that certain passages in the book were untrue.
