Iona [Cammell] postponed dinner till Saturday.
Wired Mrs. Barnet. She doesn't know how to use to phone!
Rang Edmee. She is upset; will call here 3 P.M.
Rang Chellew [Henry Chellew]. Arranged for Bishop [Frederick] James Sunday.
Edmee failed: all else failed. [I Ching hexagram] XIV. I have always found this a "cunt" hexagram. It is the stupid rich man, muscle-bound mentally. Useless for acquiring wealth. Almost miserly, too!
