[I Ching hexagram] 56.

1 Lunch with Ham. [Gerald Hamilton] v.[ery] good. Marjorie giving him the air: he tried a Limerick on her, but failed. I to the rescue.

There was an old lady of Bingley

Who wailed "I do hate to sleep singly.

I thought I had got

A bloke for my twat

But he seems rather queenly than kingly."

P.S. Ham. did not fully appreciate my Limerick.
