A fine day again after early rain.

     

Torquay chess club. Played secretary who rashly won a piece from me & was accordingly smitten. Then I won several games from one Morgan, alleged very strong. Then I insulted him with Marshall’s attack in the Sicilian, & suffered justly!

     

Mrs. Holloway now here.

     

Mike wrote feeble letter.
