Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Monday, 10 March 1941
[I Ching hexagram] 23.
Strange dream. Torquay natural arch, but on edge of river, not sea; a road beside it. I returned (whence? earlier part of dream) to bed—like my own bed, but in open air beside the road. I noticed river very high, almost to top of arch. I slept, found myself upside down in bed, some one trying to strangle me. I vainly sought my switch: then woke. This dream was before I took the hexagram.
