Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Monday, 14 April 1941
[I Ching hexagram] 34.
Dream of W. Asa. He said that he didn’t think that there was much in our methods for him, because he remembered seeing the old Archbishop of Canterbury at Invocation, & it seemed to him very futile!!! I remember my idea of this incident: it, like the whole dream, was suggested by the “Prelude to Chemistry.” The Cantuar puja vision I recognize as one of the plates.
I overdid it again yesterday—heart.
Weather vile.
X. [Grace M. Horton] seems better this A.M. She had been downstairs in the wee sma’, & drunk quite a few.) All day she seemed well, cheerful, and taking interest in life.
Chess v.[ersus] [Captain] Plant 2 1/2-1/2. The draw was carelessness in a won position: I deserved to lose.
