Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Wednesday, 30 April 1941
[I Ching hexagram] 10. Tiger!
Warden & Constable till 2.30. They knew at once what was wrong. I am going to make the black-out business a Star-Chamber matter.
Woke 5.45 A.M. fresh—& furious. But sick for 2m.
N.B. Series of clumsy careless accidents still goes on from Monday.
Tuesday broke frame of glasses: this A.M. burnt night-table with cigarette!
Did my “Tiger” act on Mrs. Middleton, Miss Whiddon entirely on my side.
X. [Grace M. Horton] did a mangy old alley cat mockery of a tigress. I quenched her. She went out in P.M. allegedly to dentist. Home blind & raving mad drunk, made most violent scenes instead of dinner, was calmed by Alice [Alice Florey] & Dora.
Opus[1] 10 P.M.
Afternoon & evening. A[leister] & A[lice] made love. OXO. Obj. Lust & power of lust.
1—Crowley performs a magical sexual operation.
