[I Ching hexagram] 23.

Went home.

Tried Seabrook's [William Seabrook] rubbish on "Witchcraft" [Witchcraft Its Power in the World Today].”

Poor fool! Why he has to invent such utter balderdash I can’t imagine. So much of real interest, & his journalist mind misses it all. It is amusing how he keeps on insisting that he doesn’t believe in it. Like that buck nigger Garland Anderson, who (in the end) died of fright.
