The quiet day expected rationally didn’t come off.
A dishonest milkman, one Isaacs, came & tried to bully me (& Mrs. Thomas) into paying a second time for the week May 18-24. He stayed for over 2 hours: at last the police moved him off. Page Julius Streicher!
Showed Mrs. T.’s nephew John the elements of chess.
Played Monopoly at night!
Showed them rejected Atus [from The Book of Thoth].
Thus was the day that upset Frieda [Frieda Harris] at Oxf[or]d.
