Aleister Crowley Diary Entry Tuesday, 10 June 1941
[I Ching hexagram] 40. Fire/Luna. I hope this does mean “loosing” from all my bewilderments.
To London 9.46-10.22. Munro ill.
Atlantis [Bookshop] had card written by Frieda [Frieda Harris] herself: “Cancelled owing to war.” Postmark June 3. Yet she let me go on writing to people as if nothing had happened. The cancellation was not a surprise; but her failure to let me know & her silence in reply to letters & telegrams is only to be explained on “thriller” lines.
Alice [Alice Florey] here: lots of preliminaries but got very tired—and distracted about Frieda.
