Bought a Diary of a D.F. [The Diary of a Drug Fiend] 15/- - took it to Caton.

     

Collected Thumbs Up! Sent off copies, some with letters—Yorke [Gerald Yorke], [Gordon] Carr, Ethel Archer etc.

     

Mortlake wrote of composer Bernard Bronage HOL 0883 & HOL 0487.

     

8 o’c. Cecil [Robert Cecil] here. Very pleasant chess and talk; but we get nowhere in particular.
