Writing to Mrs. Bartlett till 2 1/2 A.M. Capt. (?) Bartlett London 20.0.00.
Woke 12 1/4 breathing very badly (1)[Heroin].
Sleep 3 A.M. to 8 1/4. Waiter woke me: I was bad (2.2A)[Heroin] hardly enough to pull me round.
10 1/2 Still feeling X.O.P.
(3)[Heroin] leg about the same: no pus, less blood. (No. 3 was very leaky).
My nose is clogged
2 1/2 (4)[Heroin].
6 1/2 (5)[Heroin].
Frieda [Frieda Harris] phoned from Minehead. Idiot [sun] folk had written her “no pictures yet” instead of ringing me.
Alice [Alice Florey] helped some more.
Bayley [James Gilbert Bayley] here—at his stupidest. Stayed too long, bored me dreadfully! But he will put £1.5.0 to OZ [Liber OZ].
Fought wireless fiends: won.
Slept 9 1/4-11 1/4 woke with mild 241 [asthma symptoms] M[orphine] & A[tropine].
