12 1/2 (1)[Heroin] Relief at once:
Work on “horror.” Finished the job: also letter—scraps—to Saturnus [Karl Germer].
Anxiety—distress—insomnia M[orphine] & A[tropine].
3 1/4 Woke, fairly well refreshed & not much 241 [asthma symptoms].
At 7 1/2 (1A) Weather X.O.P. very wheezy (2)[Heroin] took things very easy.
12 1/2 (3)[Heroin]
4 1/4 after nap, no 241 (4)[Heroin]
9 1/2 Dysp[noea]. M & A.
Alice [Alice Florey] here.
M.A.S. [Maurice A. Sutherland] here. Obsessed by his knowledge, played [chess] stupidly in openings.
2 1/2-1 1/2 all the same.
NOTE on November 3: Frieda [Frieda Harris] took my view: get Tarot reproduced at any cost and some sets sent to “safe” places. I asked Yi to advise her & got [I Ching hexagram] 58 Tui. I took this to mean “Let her rip!”.
