[I Ching hexagram] 20.

     

1 3/4 woke 241 [asthma symptoms] bad M&A[tropine] phlegm

     

4 1/4 aperient worked well.

     

6 1/2 and again. Some 241 (1)[Heroin] faint, nauseated,

     

Coramine[1] & Brandy at 7 1/2 (2) still 241

     

9 1/2 (3)[Heroin] A1 all AM good lunch.

     

4 o’c (4)[Heroin].

     

Choked in hot carriage after blackout.

     

8 o’c (5)[Heroin].

     

Talked well. All happy.

     

Train late: left Ch[ipping] C[ampden] at 5 PM Train jammed with soldiers. My first class carriage had only 3 & myself, & I was not asked to pay excess! Corridor quite innavigable.

     

Got taxi through GWR Hotel. All went at 10.

 

 

1—Coramine is a circulatory stimulant and was used in the mid-twentieth century as a medical countermeasure against tranquilizer overdoses.
