3 1/2 (5)[Heroin] after nap: little or no 241 [asthma symptoms]. Tot 11/12.
6 o’c Fagged by tea etc. (6)[Heroin]. Tot 1 1/6
9 o’c for bed (40).
5 1/2-6 3/4 AM Sending off 33.
Slept 7-9 1/2.
10 1/2-12 1/2 Bayley [James Gilbert Bayley] here: took over a dozen films.
4 o’c Ham. [Gerald Hamilton] here. Cleared up absurd blunder about Young (Jung?) of Café Royal. Jackson is Lew Jacobi, share-pusher, once fined, twice imprisoned: intimate of Klein, right-hand man of Jacob Factor.
Sutherland [Maurice A. Sutherland] to chess 1-0.
Amazing thing happened, starting with Channel fiasco. He threw a new light on our ‘Landed Gentry’ from Mars! And it enlightened me! This is one of the major crises of my thought; and I don’t know where it may lead.
