Quiet day; but Mrs Cuninghame came to tea & stayed (Ham [Gerald Hamilton] & Tub [Alice Upham] gone) for a long most interesting talk: chiefly analysis of Clapham Junction.

     

Some speculations about war-news: Perardua’s views.

     

Bulletin: Temp 98.8-99F. Tot: 1 1/6 gr. [Heroin] plus 1 (40).

     

A hard day, well borne.
